Amazonite

Amazonite is a captivating green to blue-green variety of microcline feldspar, known for its vibrant color and soothing appearance. Often used as a gemstone, amazonite is prized for its opaque to translucent quality and subtle shimmer. It is found in locations such as Madagascar, Brazil, Russia, and the United States. Its name, though misleading, is derived from the Amazon River, even though no deposits have been found there.
